2.5.2 Options Menu

Select COM port

Each time you move the cursor to the ‘Select COM port’ option, the software

detects which COM ports are available on your computer.

The above screenshot shows that ‘COM 1’ is greyed out which indicates that

this COM port is present on the computer, but is presently being used by

another program.

‘COM 2’ is available and is being used by this software.

‘COM 9’ is available and is not being used by any software.

When a computer is running windows 98, it is not possible to detect USB

COM ports. Due to this, a list of COM1 to COM9 is shown. Note: Used COM

ports will not be shown as used.
